Velma’s mark–“Whatever”

I don’t worry about needing a way to remember Linda’s mother. Velma’s great ability to accept strangers and welcome them into her home is mirrored in each person she became friends with. All of us may be linked, genetically, vicariously, or by some other indirect connection. She was very tolerant of flawed community and did not exclude people because of any human imperfections–even those in herself.

None of us lasts forever but the principal by which life is lived far exceeds our span on earth: love with your whole being and never be forgotten.

Velma passed away in the home, aided  by Hospice, accompanied by love, and in the company of devoted family.
