The pros and cons to caregiving are amazing. This means we
will be judged for completeness.
Some guys (like me) are slow readers. For example, I’ve been diligently hitting
the Voices of Caregiving book for over a week now. Why does it take so long? Is
it because I am judging the content before even completing the read?
It is not enough to find truth in caregiving. Those truths
must resonate. I truly enjoyed Dag Hammarskjold’s quote (context aside): "One feat is
possible—not to have run away."
Differing perspectives are shaped by experiences. The jokes
about the social skills of most engineers are based on fact. How else would
someone develop the ability to block out all distractions so they might
concentrate on achieving a solution to a difficult problem?
