Build Coping Skills

How are coping skills built? Are any of these answers or good options?


  • Tell yourself “hang in there” and then hold on to remote possibilities for a reprieve.
  • Walk the fine line between denial and abandonment.
  • Make small decisions.
  • Listen to what people are saying but don’t believe them unless they are positive and supportive.
  • Push for resolution of situations. Better to xxx than to yyy.
  • Recognize that “be patient” may be a viable alternative.
