In The Moment

Whenever trying to record something, it helps to be prepared for spontaneity.

For example, when taking photographs it is best to have the camera ready and be practiced at taking pictures just in case a really good photo op should occur.

When writing articles it is important to capture the vocabulary and emotion of the event. Clearly a story told about children is different for someone with toddlers in tow than it will be for parents trying to conjure up past events about kids now grown to adulthood.

Memories are made when images, words, and feelings combine to leave an impression.

Sometimes life gets messy. Remember when you got that flat tire? Aah…but recall the good that resulted from getting through the dilemma. Maybe you received unexpected help from a stranger. Maybe you shared vulnerability and learned to love more deeply.

A caregiver must seize the day.
