Where is the [***] in that?

What are you going through that makes no sense or seems pointless? Are there potential "I told you so" moments in caregiving? Yes.

For many if not most people, giving care can be a pain. It is like running out of gasoline in a car when the practice of driving on empty for miles at a time has become a habit. Some will view "getting from here there, whatever the cost" as preferable to "doing nothing now and not doing anything that encourages bad practices." Both attitudes yield the same results: going nowhere.

Giving care is not about gaining recompense or cutting losses. It is about finding right things and acting. Be careful. Without support, caregiving can drive you crazy.
