Why do people become caregivers?

Believe it or not the answer is relatively simple. There is too much in this world which is B.S. and does not make sense. Becoming a caregiver is perhaps the greatest calling in life. It is a privilege to meet fellow human beings in their most vulnerable forms. If you can give care to one who is transformed into needing care, possibly by encountering reduced independence or increased dependence, you are favored to be in the presence of a care-receiver.

This is like meeting God face-to-face.
